The customer wanted a predominantly native plant palette to integrate with the surrounding landscape and create a private oasis while maintaining open lawn space and preserving important view shafts.
We selected tall trees, including Fuscospora solandri (Black Beech) and Betula Jacquemontii (Himalayan Birch), to frame the house and provide autumn colour, blending with the natural surroundings.
Loose drifts of shrubs such as Chionochloa and Muehlenbeckia, along with Astelia fragrans, offer texture and movement throughout the garden.
To add visual interest, colourful plants like Verbena and Gaura Soda Pop were incorporated, complementing the native foundation and enhancing the outdoor living space.
