Acer Autumn Blaze - Field-Grown

Acer x freemanii Autumn Blaze, commonly known as the Autumn Blaze Maple, is a hybrid of the Red Maple (Acer rubrum) and Silver Maple (Acer saccharinum). This deciduous tree is cherished for its rapid growth rate and brilliant autumn colours. The leaves, similar in shape to the Silver Maple, transition from a vibrant green in spring and summer to fiery shades of orange-red in autumn. Autumn Blaze is tolerant of a variety of soil conditions and demonstrates a good resistance to pests and diseases. It's an excellent choice for an ornamental or shade tree in both urban and suburban landscapes due to its upright, rounded crown and adaptability. At maturity, it can reach heights of 10-15m and widths of 4-5m.

Field-grown plants are grown directly in open fields, enabling their roots to spread and develop naturally, resulting in larger size, established root systems, and increased resilience. When transporting these plants, hessian, a coarse fabric made from natural fibres like jute, is commonly used to wrap their roots, providing protection during transportation and handling.
