Armeria Pink Petite is a dainty, low-growing perennial that produces soft pink, button-like flowers on short stems above compact, grassy foliage. Flowering from early spring to early summer, it’s perfect for rockeries, edging, and small garden spaces where subtle colour and texture are desired. Ideal for alpine, coastal, and cottage-style gardens, it thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Space plants 15–20cm apart to form a dense, cushion-like display.
Mature Size: Reaches approximately 10–15cm high and 20cm wide.
Trimming: Trim back spent flower stems to encourage repeat flowering and maintain a tidy appearance. In late autumn or early spring, remove any dead or damaged foliage to keep the clump neat.
Deadheading: Regularly remove faded flower heads to prolong the flowering season and support a tidy, compact form.
Fertilising: Armeria prefers lean soils, so fertilising is usually unnecessary. If growth appears weak, apply a light dose of low-nitrogen fertiliser in early spring.
Watering: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, Armeria is drought-tolerant and prefers well-drained soil. Avoid overwatering, especially in winter.
Pest Control: Generally pest-free, though occasional aphids may appear. Treat with insecticidal soap if needed.
Disease Management: Can be susceptible to crown rot in poorly drained soils. Ensure excellent drainage and avoid waterlogged conditions. Remove any rotting foliage promptly to prevent spread.
