Camellia Sparkling Burgundy

Camellia Sparkling Burgundy is an early flowering sasanqua variety with striking burgundy-pink flowers that contrast beautifully against its glossy, deep green foliage. Flowering in the early season, this evergreen camellia adds a dramatic focal point to any garden. Versatile and elegant, it suits mixed borders, standalone specimens, or large containers for patios and terraces, enhancing formal, woodland, and Japanese-style gardens with its structured form and luxurious flowers.

Thriving in partial shade but tolerating full sun if its roots are kept cool and moist, Camellia Sparkling Burgundy prefers well-drained, acidic soil rich in organic matter. Mulching around the base helps retain moisture and maintain cool roots. Space plants 1.5 to 2 metres apart for optimal growth, allowing a natural spread without competition. At maturity, this camellia reaches a height and spread of 2 to 3 metres, offering a compact yet dense presence that brings a refined touch to any garden setting.
