Carmichaelia australis

Carmichaelia australis, known as common broom or makaka, is a small to large shrub endemic to New Zealand that has spreading, photosynthetic stems. It grows quickly and is very hardy. Features small, white flowers with patches of purple in the centres. Prefers full sun. Tolerates coastal and frosty conditions. 2m x 1m.
