Heuchera Northern Exposure Silver is a hardy, compact perennial with striking silver-toned foliage accented by deep veining, creating a bold and textured effect in shaded garden spaces. From late Spring through early Summer, soft white flowers rise above the foliage on slender stems, adding a delicate contrast to the dramatic leaf colour. Bred for superior cold tolerance and durability, it provides year-round interest in borders and containers.

Well-suited to woodland, cottage, or modern gardens, Heuchera Northern Exposure Silver is ideal for shaded borders, underplanting, or mixed container arrangements. It prefers partial to full shade with moist, free-draining soil. Space approximately 35-40 cm apart to ensure healthy growth and good airflow.

Forms a compact, mounded clump approximately 30 cm high and 40 cm wide.

Trimming: Remove tired, damaged, or discoloured leaves regularly to maintain a tidy appearance. In late winter or early spring, trim back old growth to encourage fresh, vibrant foliage.

Deadheading: Cut back spent flower stems after flowering to keep the plant neat and possibly encourage a second flush.

Fertilising: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring. Avoid high-nitrogen fertilisers, which can cause soft growth and reduce leaf colour contrast.

Watering: Water regularly during establishment. Once established, water during dry spells, especially in summer. Ensure soil is free-draining to prevent crown rot.

Pest Control: Monitor for vine weevils-look for notched edges on leaves. Treat larvae with nematodes or use a suitable insecticide if needed.

Disease Management: Heucheras are generally disease resistant, but crown rot can occur in wet or poorly drained soil. Improve drainage and avoid overwatering. Provide good air circulation to minimise the risk of fungal issues.
