Magnolia stellata

Magnolia stellata.  One of the earliest magnolias to bloom. They need a sheltered spot and fertile, well-drained soil, preferring a neutral to acid soil. A small bushy tree bearing fragrant, star-shaped white flowers with many petals opening from silky buds in spring. Very beautiful and suitable for a small garden.
