Pseudopanax lessonii purpureum - Field-Grown
Free Shipping on Orders $250 or more
Pseudopanax lessonii purpureum is a native tree known for its striking purple-bronze foliage and upright form.
It grows in a variety of well-drained soil types, from sandy to clay and prefers full sun to partial shad. Drought tolerant.
Thanks to its bold colour and robust growth habit, Pseudopanax lessonii purpureum makes a stunning specimen plant that adds a point of interest to any part of your garden. It can also be used as a standout component in mixed borders, or as part of an informal, colourful hedge.
It reaches a height of approximately 3-4 metres at maturity, making it ideal for smaller gardens.
Field-grown plants are grown directly in open fields, enabling their roots to spread and develop naturally, resulting in larger size, established root systems, and increased resilience. When transporting these plants, hessian, a coarse fabric made from natural fibres like jute, is commonly used to wrap their roots, providing protection during transportation and handling.
