A charming evergreen rhododendron producing masses of soft rosy-pink flowers during Spring, creating a colourful display against its glossy dark green foliage. Its neat, rounded growth habit makes it a reliable choice for adding long-lasting structure and seasonal interest to shaded garden spaces.

Perfect for woodland gardens, cottage gardens, and shaded borders. Ideal as a feature shrub, in mixed plantings, or grouped beneath taller trees for layered planting effects.

Thrives in a partly shaded position with moist, well-drained, acidic soil enriched with organic matter. Shelter from harsh afternoon sun and drying winds. Space approximately 1.5–2m apart for healthy growth and airflow.

Mature Size: Approximately 1.8m high x 1.5m wide.

Trimming: Prune lightly after flowering to maintain a compact shape and remove any dead, damaged or weak growth.

Deadheading: Remove spent flower heads carefully to encourage tidy growth and protect developing buds.

Fertilising: Feed in spring with a fertiliser formulated for acid-loving plants to promote healthy foliage and flowering.

Watering: Water regularly during establishment and during extended dry periods, ensuring the soil remains moist but well-drained.

Pest Control: Monitor for aphids, lace bug and scale insects. Treat infestations with horticultural oil or insecticidal soap where necessary.

Disease Management: Watch for signs of root rot, leaf spot and powdery mildew, including wilting, yellowing leaves, spotted foliage or white powdery growth. Improve drainage and airflow, avoid overhead watering and apply a suitable fungicide if required.
