Senecio serpens

Senecio serpens, is a striking and low-maintenance succulent. Known as Blue Chalksticks, this South African native features fleshy, blue-green leaves that resemble miniature chalk sticks, providing a unique texture and color contrast. In summer small fragrant creamy white flowers bloom just above the foliage.

Senecio serpens is a versatile choice for ground cover, rock gardens, or even as a container plant outdoors or indoors. It does look best planted en-mass. Its drought tolerant nature makes it a perfect option for xeriscaping or for those looking for low-water garden solutions. 

Thrives in porous soils with plenty of sharp sand and full sun. Best grown in warm climates but is tolerant of light frost, wind, and coastal conditions. 

Will reach up to 25 cms in height and spread to 80 cm.
