Viburnum tinus Lucidum, commonly known as glossy viburnum, is an evergreen shrub known for its large, leathery, dark green leaves and dense, rounded growth habit. This variety of Viburnum tinus produces clusters of small, white flowers in late winter to early spring, followed by dark blue-black berries, which are attractive to birds and wildlife.

Ideal for use as a specimen plant, in hedging, or as part of a mixed border. Its glossy foliage provides year-round interest, while the flowers and subsequent berries add seasonal colour and attract wildlife. This shrub is suited to a range of garden styles, including formal, cottage, and wildlife gardens, offering both aesthetic appeal and practical benefits.

Glossy viburnum prefers full sun to partial shade and thrives in well-drained soil. It is relatively drought-tolerant once established and can adapt to a variety of soil conditions. For hedging or screening purposes, plants should be spaced about 2m apart to allow for mature growth and dense coverage.
