Yucca Moonlight

Yucca Moonlight has great architectural form and unique foliage. Its long, sword-like leaves feature a soft, silvery-green hue, creating a luminous effect that adds contrast and texture to the garden. This spineless variety forms a neat rosette, making it a versatile and low-maintenance choice for modern landscapes.

Thriving in full sun to partial shade, it adapts well to well-drained soils and is highly drought-tolerant once established. Ideal for contemporary, Mediterranean, and coastal gardens, it works beautifully as a feature plant, in borders, or in large containers on patios and courtyards. Reaching a mature height of approximately 1.5–2.5m with a similar spread.

Trimming: Remove dead or damaged leaves as needed to keep the plant looking tidy. Lower leaves can be trimmed to expose the trunk for a more sculptural effect.

Deadheading: Cut back spent flower stalks after blooming to maintain a neat appearance.

Fertilising: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertiliser in spring to support healthy growth. Container-grown plants may benefit from a light summer feed.

Watering: Drought-tolerant once established. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out between watering. Avoid overwatering to prevent root rot.

Pest Control: Generally pest-free, but check for scale insects or mealybugs, especially on container-grown plants. Treat infestations with insecticidal soap if necessary.

Disease Management: Rarely affected by disease. Ensure well-draining soil and avoid excessive moisture around the base to prevent root rot.
